Mingle
Brian and I just attended the Montclair Mingle. It was great fun! The wine was flowing but the food was not as abundant! Anya, one of my 8th grade students, babysat for the kids and it went really well!!! Maybe we have a babysitter at least for the next year or two?? We talked with a lot of neighbors, classmates parents and teachers, and won a "progressive dinner" so it was a success.

Lazy Saturday
Brian is at school and I'm upstairs drinking coffee and messing around on the computer while the kids watch Monsters vs. Aliens downstairs. We need to get out today but I'm feeling lazy. We made the calaveras and they came out great. Our camera is not working so I can't post pictures at this time.

Family of Five
My family consists of my husband Brian, me and our 3 children. Our kids are Anna Lucy (age 8), Frankie (age 5) and Elsa (age 3). We also have a dog, César, 3 cats, Marty, Claire & Amelia and 2 types of birds - finches and parakeets. Our house is full of noise and drama and activity ALL the time!
Welcome!
I plan to begin sharing pictures and adventures of the children and family, as well as some of my thoughts on raising a family and working and living!
Today we are inside because it's COLD in Denver. I got supplies to make "calaveras" with the children. Calaveras are Mexican sugar skills which are made in honor of dead family members for día de los muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 1st. They are made with sugar and water, left to harden, then decorated with colorful frosting. I'll post some pictures when we're done.
